SouthPaw Animal Clinic Services

SouthPaw Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary clinic for dogs and cats located in Overland Park, Kansas.

We pride ourselves on giving you all of the available options for treatment and taking the time to discuss them with you so that we can work together, as advocates for your pets. We will take the time to answer all of your questions and will work with you to provide a care plan that best suits you and your pet family members.

Here are some examples of our veterinary services:

Examinations for Dogs and Cats

From new puppy and kitten exams to mature cats and dogs, we ensure your pets are in perfect health, and help them when they’re not. With a complimentary first exam within 2 weeks of adoption of shelter pets.

Diagnostics and Treatment

When your pet is ill, we provide diagnostics and treatment for both comman and uncommon illnesses. With an in-house laboratory for diagnostics and an on-site pharmacy for treatment, we will work together to get your pet back to good health.

Vaccinations and Preventative Medicine

We provide all vaccinations recommended for cats and dogs to prevent health issues for your pets – parasites, illness, and disease preventatives to extend the length and improve potential quality of life.

Spay and Neuter Surgery

We provide spaying and neutering services as it helps to decrease the pet population and helps to make sure that your pet is healthier during their lifetime.

Dentistry

Dental cleanings are often needed yearly. We offer dental cleanings that are performed under a short acting sedative. During the dental cleaning, the pet’s mouth is thoroughly examined and cleaned, and a fluoride treatment and dental sealant is applied.

Routine Surgical Procedures

If a diagnosis or condition requires surgery such as an exploratory laparotomy, enterotomy, tumor/ mass removal, dental surgery, or others, they are all considered well within our capabilities.

Parasite Screening and Management

There are many preventatives available over the counter, but many of these are minimally effective and some are potentially deadly to pets. Parasite preventatives that you purchase from your veterinarian are backed by the manufacturer and your veterinarian.

Microchip Implantation

A microchip is a small device that is implanted under your pet’s skin and can allow for your pet to be identified and returned to you in the event that they get lost.

Nutritional Consultation

Whether your pet has special dietary needs or needs to shed (or gain) a few pounds, our nutritional services will help you keep your pet in good health.

Healthcare Record Management

Online access to your pet’s vaccination records through Petly, as well as environmentally-friendly email reminders.
